Export your account data

Download a JSON account export and see exactly what is included and excluded.

Under Account → Your data, you can download a JSON file containing the account information made available by the Hands Console. It is not a complete backup of a Hand or its workspace. Download any files you need separately before deleting a Hand or your account.

Download the export

  1. Sign in to the Hands Console.
  2. Select Profile at the bottom of the sidebar and open Account → Your data. On a phone, use the round profile icon at the top and scroll the Account tabs sideways if necessary.
  3. Under Download account data, select Download JSON.
  4. The button briefly shows Preparing…. Your browser downloads a file such as hands-account-export-2026-11-07.json (using the actual export date).
  5. Store the JSON securely and verify that you can open it.

The download is a snapshot. Export again if your account changes later.

What does the JSON include?

The export includes these sections when relevant to your account:

  • Account: account ID, name, email, creation date and yes/no indicators for password and Google sign-in (not the credentials themselves).
  • Subscription: the current subscription and trial state.
  • Referrals: programme, attribution and reward progress.
  • Credits: wallet status and credit ledger transactions.
  • Connections: public Nango connection state and connector requests.
  • Hands: each Hand’s identity, description, avatar reference, settings and policy, onboarding status, sandbox/provisioning metadata and connector metadata.

Fields may be empty or absent if a feature has never been used.

What is deliberately excluded?

The JSON contains no password hashes, Google account identifiers, Hand access keys, OAuth access or refresh tokens, Nango Environment API keys or stored Vault secret values.

Files inside each Hand’s workspace are also explicitly excluded. The JSON is not an automatic archive of chat transcripts, local programs or a restorable machine image.

To preserve files, open Files for each Hand, download what you need, and check the downloaded copies before account deletion. See Manage Files in the workspace. A checkpoint serves a different purpose and is not a substitute for a copy stored outside your Hand.

Common questions and recovery

Can the JSON restore my Hand? No. It is an account data record, not a backup that recreates the sandbox, Vault or workspace.

Why is a secret or file missing? Those categories are intentionally omitted. Download workspace files separately and manage credentials in their own services; do not expect Vault values in this export.

The download did not start. Make sure you are still signed in, retry Download JSON, and check your browser’s downloads. If the Console reports an error, record it for support. Do not publish the export: it still contains personal account metadata.
