Files lets you manage files on your Hand’s computer. This is its persistent workspace, normally under /workspace. You can keep, open, upload, move and delete files there.
Open the workspace
- Open the Hands Console, select the intended Hand and choose Files in navigation.
- On a wide screen, switch between List and Tiles. Your desktop choice is remembered in this browser. Phones and tablets use the list.
- Open a folder to inspect its contents. In List you can expand folders; in Tiles you enter a folder and navigate back.
- Select a file for an available preview. For other actions use the row’s ••• menu or right-click on desktop.
The workspace may contain an Artifacts folder for results created by your Hand. Not every file type supports a direct preview in the Console.
Upload files and create folders
- Open your destination folder or stay at the workspace root.
- Choose + → Upload files and pick one or more files. On desktop, you can also drag files into the explorer or onto a folder.
- Check the result message. If anything failed, expand Upload results to see the reason for each file.
- Use + → New folder to organize the workspace. Where offered, the same menu can create a new file.
Each upload batch handles up to 50 files; files over 100 MB are rejected. An upload may also fail when the name already exists or the Hand cannot be reached. After an uncertain result, inspect the destination before attempting another upload.
Rename, move and delete
Open a file or folder’s ••• menu and choose Rename or Move to…. Check the destination and confirm. You can also drag items onto folders on desktop. An existing name in the destination may prevent the action; choose a different name or location.
Delete file and Delete folder require confirmation. Deleting a folder removes everything inside it. There is no guaranteed recycle-bin undo. Consider creating and verifying a checkpoint before broad changes. A checkpoint may reverse later filesystem changes, but it is not a per-file version history.
Workspace files versus chat attachments
A temporary attachment you add to a chat or voice conversation is not automatically saved as a persistent Files workspace item. A transcript may later show only its filename. Explicitly upload important source files to the workspace and keep valuable results there or on your own computer.
File management requires a ready Hand and appropriate account/subscription access. If the machine is still being set up, asleep or unreachable, verify its status and retry when it is available. The Console does not provide a general public-link sharing feature for workspace files.

Edit project source
To work directly on source files and project folders, open a file from Files in the IDE. The code editor uses the same workspace but is distinct from the Files browser and Terminal.
