Browse and search Memory

Explore what your Hand remembers, search memory pages, and switch between Starmap and List.

Memory shows knowledge your Hand has recorded as memory pages. You can search it, explore relationships and spot items that need review. This part of the Console is for reading memory, not directly changing it.

Where to find Memory

  1. Open the Hands Console and select your Hand.
  2. Go to Chat → Memory. On a phone, open Chat, then choose Memory in the page header.
  3. Let the overview load. Your first deliberate visit may wake your Hand if it is resting.

If you see Your Hand is asleep, choose Wake and load. If loading fails, use Try again. If the Hand does not yet support this Memory feature, the Console will say so; retrying cannot enable an unsupported version.

Use Starmap or List

Starmap displays memory pages and relationships as a visual network. Select a page or group to inspect what is connected. Its legend shows authority rings; selecting one highlights pages and does not grant permissions.

List provides an ordered view of memory pages. Open an entry to inspect its available title, content, status, source and relationships. Depending on your browser, the Starmap may use a flat 2D fallback instead of 3D.

Search, review and refresh

  1. Enter a short term in Search memory. Matching pages update after a brief pause.
  2. Turn on Needs review to focus on pages flagged for review or proposals.
  3. Clear the field with its clear control or Escape, and turn the filter off to see all pages again.
  4. Select the refresh icon when you need to fetch the latest available memory information.

A search error is not proof that there are no matching pages. If your Hand is asleep or the connection fails, use the displayed wake or retry action. Passive background polling does not automatically wake a sleeping Hand.

Viewing is different from editing

There are no Console controls here for adding, directly editing, deleting or approving memory pages. To ask your Hand to remember something, correct information or stop relying on something, use Chat, then review the result in Memory. Not every chat message becomes a saved page; explicitly ask your Hand to retain useful knowledge.

Memory requires access to your own Hand and a compatible Hand runtime. Account or subscription restrictions may also prevent loading. A page’s authority ring describes its role in your Hand’s knowledge, not an extra permission you acquire by selecting it.
