Connect your first integration

Link a supported app to your Hand, review its permissions, and confirm that the connection works.

A Hands Plugin connects an app or service to your Hand so it can retrieve information or perform permitted actions. The connection belongs to a selected Hand. A Plugin uses a connection flow prepared by Hands; an MCP connector connects to a separate MCP server. To add your own server, see Connect an MCP server securely.

Connect a Plugin

  1. Open the Hands Console and select the Hand you want to use.
  2. Go to Integrations → Plug-ins. Find a service using search or the category filter.
  3. Inspect its details. Check what the Plugin can do, what access it needs, and whether Connect is available.
  4. Select Connect. If a Choose access screen appears, enable only the capabilities you need and continue.
  5. Follow the provider’s sign-in and consent screens. Check that you are using the intended account and review the access requested.
  6. Return to Integrations and check for Connected. Some services also ask you to select a site, folder, or other resource before setup is complete.

Provider sign-in steps and permission wording may change. If Connect is unavailable, that Plugin may not currently support the selected Hand, account, or service.

Check the connection

Use the Connected status filter to find linked services. Give your Hand a small read-only task, such as listing available items, and inspect the result. Needs attention means the integration is not yet reliably ready.

Open the connected Plugin’s Settings to review Capabilities and Action rules. Provider-granted access and your Hand’s action rules are separate: changing a Hands rule never expands permissions granted by the service itself.

Change access or disconnect

In Settings, a supported Plugin may offer Pause, Reconnect, Restore, Retry, or Remove, depending on its status. Use the recovery action shown if its login expires. If you cannot see a removal option, that action is not available there for that connection. You can also revoke the app’s access in your provider account when appropriate.

Start safely: connect only accounts you trust, choose the smallest useful access scope, and require approval for consequential changes where supported. Not every service offers every rule or is available on every Hand. Available options depend on your Hand and account.
